Welcome to the Lionhearts Cruising Club website
Lionhearts Cruising Club (LCC) is located near the pretty medieval village of Great Linford on the Grand Union Canal, in Milton Keynes, near canal bridge 79. We are a canal boat club with aims of promoting and facilitating boating on our canals and rivers.
The club has attractive grounds and moorings fronting the Canal and is situated next to a 19th century Brickworks, an Historic England monument.
We are a sociable club with a programme of cruises and social events throughout the year.
Our club facilities include our own moorings for 40 boats, a slipway, paint dock facilities, and a small clubhouse.
The Cruising Club is run by the members for the members and we are an affiliated club of the Inland Waterways Association (IWA) and the Association of Waterways Cruising Clubs (AWCC).
It is a principle of the Club that membership subscriptions are kept at levels that do not pose a significant obstacle to people participating. Costs are kept at modest levels through a culture of self-help, wherever possible, and all members are expected to participate in a range of duties. This enables the Club to engender a spirit of cooperation and enjoyment among its members and thereby encourage participation in our canal boat cruising sport.
